Solutions Architect

Overview

Innovative Solutions currently has a position available for a Senior Lead Developer. This position requires 8 plus years of experience in developing applications in a Microsoft based environment. Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast paced changing environment while managing multiple projects. Candidate should have worked 3 plus years in a development team leadership and mentorship role. This position requires strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage time. Candidate must be results driven and maintain a sense of urgency and commitment to the goal of achieving results on time and within budget. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.

Technical Skills and Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering
Experience: Minimum 8 years career focused on Microsoft technologies like C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MVC SQL Server, TFS, Entity Framework, LINQ
3+ years in leading multiple software development teams in an architect and leadership role
Strong experience with jQuery and AJAX
Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Design (OOD) concepts
Experience developing mobile apps a plus
Certifications: MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Facing:

Design, develop and implement feasible solutions based on client’s business goals.
Participate in the full life cycle of software development using an iterative development approach
Estimates and sizes development efforts
Communicate detailed solution specifications to clients, designers, developers and contractors in a way that is directly actionable, clear and unambiguous

Internal:

Serve as a mentor to the development team and assist with on boarding of new developers
Leads peer code reviews and follows up with development teams to verify that agreed to code review changes are completed satisfactorily.
Ensures industry standard methods and best practices are in place to enhance ongoing development process
Develops the talents of the team members via training/certifications
Desire to learn new technology and help educate and implement it in the organization
